THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Saturday warned that his party will check RSS alleged arms training in the name of shakhas in temple premises across the state. Kodiyeri said if the RSS continued with its shakhas within temple premises, the CPM red volunteers will intervene and block them. The CPM should also be able to conduct similar training programmes on the lines RSS in temples.
He was speaking at a function to welcome the entry of BJP workers led by former general secretary A G Unnikrihsnan into the CPM in Pathanamthitta. The CPM state secretary said if the RSS continued with its training inside temples, the CPM red volunteers would also conduct their training in the same area. “Nobody will be able to prevent that. The devotees should not allow any political party to take control of the temples,” he said. “If RSS shakhas are allowed inside temple premises, the ISS will also try to infiltrate into mosques,” he added.
