Kerala Students Union leaders complain against party leaders
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The KSU leaders have complained to the AICC against the senior Congress leaders alleging intimidation from them for speaking out against groupism in the party. They said that leaders were preventing them from working even in unit management system. The KSU leaders made the complaint to party vice- president Rahul Gandhi and AICC general secretary in charge of the state, Mukul Wasnik.
Young MLA V. T. Balram had recently lashed out against the senior leaders alleging that the KSU leaders can’t survive without group leanings. They were being pulled into the vortex of groupism which had started before they were born, he said at the membership campaign of the KSU. Kozhikode DCC president K. C. Abu retaliated saying that Mr Balram had ‘ripened prematurely.’ Mr Balram replied that if the egg is not hatched at the right time, it will become rotten.
Former elected general secretary of Youth Congress D. V. Vinod Krishna attacked Mr Abu in his Facebook post saying that Mr Abu had vent his frustration against Youth Congress leaders in Kozhikode during the Assembly elections. “Abu should be cleared by spraying pesticides on him. Only then Kozhikode district will get Congress seats. A new DCC president has to be brought in there and work has to be initiated there on a war footing,” said Mr Vinod Krishna in his post. In the coming days, more young MLAs are expected to rally behind Mr Balram to end the factional politics.
