Jagan calls upon NRIs to be part of AP's development

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has called upon the NRIs from the state to be part of AP’s developmental push by extending necessary financial support and sharing with the government their exposure and experience in various aspects in such respects.

The CM stated this in a special congratulatory video message sent to the delegates at the ongoing NATA convention-2023 in Dallas, The US, on Monday. He congratulated them and wished them a grand success at the convention.

In his video address, Jagan Mohan Reddy listed a series of welfare schemes being implemented in AP for the uplift of disadvantaged sections and said the education sector was being overhauled by the introduction of programmes like Amma Vodi, Goru Muddha, Vidya Kanuka, Vasathi Deevena etc.

These, the CM said, would help the students pursue education in a hassle-free manner and reach sky-high in whatever fields they chose by becoming global citizens.

The CM said, “Taking birth on Telugu soil and representing the poor and the middle-class communities in the society, you are all working in top positions as CEOs, professors in universities, scientists in NASA, doctors and business magnets. We feel proud that you have reached such positions with a strong focus and commitment to your respective professions.”

“AP has been witnessing revolutionary changes in the fields of education, health, agriculture and housing for the good of our future generations in addition to the transparent implementation of welfare programmes. In order to take these forward, our state needs your support.”

The CM explained how the health sector was getting strengthened with the launch of the ‘family doctor’ concept. “This apart, to prevent scarcity of food grains in future, the government is strengthening the agriculture sector and the rural economy as a whole. In addition, we are building four new ports and 10 fishing harbours and developing three industrial corridors.”

Jagan Mohan Reddy conveyed his best wishes to the NATA office-bearers Sridha, Anil Prem Sagar and others, and said, “I still remember the love and affection you had shown when I attended the convention four years ago and you people are providing inspiration to the people in the state.”
