VRO among three jailed for forgery
Hyderabad: Three persons including a village revenue officer and an outsourcing employee working at the Yacharam Mandal Revenue Office were convicted by a court for making false entries in a passbook to get huge loans from banks. They have been sentenced for three years of rigorous imprisonment.
According to Racha-konda police, a case was booked against Chettu-pally Srinivas (33), Gadari Srinivas (27), a temporary clerk working at MRO office in Yacharam and Buggan-amoni Srinivas (48), who was then VRO of Yacharam, for forging a passbook of C. Srinivas to get huge loans from the banks.
The accused entered that Srinivas had four acres of land, whereas he actually possessed only one acre. They also sent documents to the Mandal Revenue Officer of Yacharam for attestation, when the fraud was unearthed and a complaint was lodged.
