Hyderabad: A 45-year-old NRI software engineer from the city died while taking part in an adventure sport at Hills and Valley, a resort located in Dharur mandal of Vikarabad district on Monday. The techie who was riding an ATV bike applied the brakes suddenly to avoid hitting a dog and the vehicle overturned, leading to his death, said Dharur police.

According to police, 45-year-old Aravind Peechara, a native of Kompally, was director of Copart India Technology Center at Gachibowli. He lived in Texas and was a Green Card holder. He came to India on a two-week vacation to visit his parents who live at Kompally.

On June 30, Aravind Peechara and 34 employees of the company went to the resort to spend the weekend. Around 11.30 am on July 1, Aravind was driving an ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) bike at the resort, when a dog came in front and he slammed the brakes. The bike crashed and he came under it. His colleagues took him to Crawford hospital in Vikarabad, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
