Tomin Thachankary to sue T P Senkumar for remarks

Mr. Thachankary has also said the power in hands should be balanced.

KOLLAM: ADGP Tomin J. Thachankary has said he would go for legal action against former DGP T.P. Senkumar for his comment the other day that posting the former was like that of appointing a butcher in place of a neurosurgeon. "I have legal restraints to react against these comments as I am a government servant. I have to wait for another six years and six months, when I retire, to answer all the comments," he said. Mr. Thachankary said this while inaugurating the Kollam rural district meeting organised by Kerala police association at Kottarakkara here on Monday.

"Only an insane person who is under treatment of a neurosurgeon would resort to something like this. It is not right to criticise the department in public after enjoying all the privileges and benefits the police department had offered," he added, indirectly mentioning the comments by Mr. Senkumar. Mr. Thachankary has also said the power in hands should be balanced. He also compared the person misusing power to a referee who shows penalty card in all occasions and still being ignored by the organisers.
