VIT-AP inks pact with IDS Inc. for skill, capability training to students

University's School of Computer Engineering signed an MoU with IDS for joint efforts in research in blockchain technology

Hyderabad: The VIT-AP University has said that it has entered into an agreement with IDS Inc., USA, for providing skills and capabilities for its students in blockchain technology. The University’s School of Computer Engineering has signed a memorandum of understanding with IDS for joint efforts in research and development and upskilling undergraduate and graduate students in blockchain technology.

Dr S.V. Kota Reddy, Vice-Chancellor, VIT–AP University said the MoU will enable students to build careers in this emerging field. It will also provide an opportunity to the students, scholars, and faculty members to carry out research and to develop advanced applications using blockchain technology. Further, IDS will provide internships with financial support, and job opportunities to selected students of VIT-AP University, he said.

Sudharshan Reddy Minumula, CEO of IDS Inc., said the collaboration with VIT-AP University will help faculty and students to explore and work with next generation technologies. Aravind Voruganti, IDS Inc., vice-president, said the partnership will encourage and enable students to pursue a career in blockchain technology-driven fields.

Dr Hari Seetha, Dean, School of Computer Science and Engineering, Dr C.L.V. Sivakumar, Registrar, VIT-AP University, faculty and students witnessed the virtual MoU signing ceremony.
