Thiruvananthapuram schools score cent percent in CBSE
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Major schools in the district have secured 100 percent success in the All India Secondary School Examination for 10th standard. It is for the ninth consecutive time that Jyothis Central School, Kazhakuttam, has achieved the feat. 51 of the 100 students who appeared for the examination secured a cumulative grade points average (CGPA) of 10, 33 secured between 9.8 and 9, 11 between 8.8 and 8, four got 7.8 and one 7.6.
In Kendriya Vidyalaya AFS Akkulam, 42 of the 99 who appeared got a CGPA of 10. The performance index of the school is 91.87. Of the 102 students who represented The School of the Good Shepherd, Aakkulam, 37 scored A1 for all subjects (CGPA of 10). 27 students got a CGPA of above 9. In Christ Nagar Senior Secondary School, Thiruvallom, 109 of the 262 students scored A1 grade in all subjects. 153 students came in the distinction category. In MGM Central Public School, Kuzhivila, 66 of the 197 students won A1 for all subjects. The rest have secured grades above 7.8.
Of the 127 students in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kodunganoor, 37 secured A1 for all subjects. Of the 277 students who appeared for Saraswathi Vidyalaya, Vattiyoorkavu, 60 secured a CGPA of 10. Students who secured a CGPA of over 9 were 146. In St. Mary’s Central School, Poojappura, 36 of the 116 students scored A1 in all subjects and 65 students have secured a CGPA of above 9. 29 of the 90 who appeared for the test in Blue Mount Public School, Thonnakkal, got A1 in all subjects. All the 53 students who sat for CBSE tenth standard in Trinity Lyceum Nathirickal, which began in 2012, scored a distinction. 29 of them scored a grade of 10. In Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom, 80 out of the 322 students who had appeared for the examination secured A1 for all subjects, with a CGPA of 10.
In Love Dale Residential School, Alamcodu, 23 of the 46 students secured A1 for all subjects. A school release said that the rest secured marks between 92 and 98 percent. In Dr G R Public School, Neyyatinkara, 34 of the 144 students who appreared for the examination won A1 for all subjects. 74 students secured more than 90 percent. In Sree Vivekananda Memorial Public School, Neyyatinkara, 23 of the 119 who sat for the examination secured a CGPA of 10, 63 scored above 90 percent, and the remaining 33 scored above 80 percent.
Out of the 89 students who appeared for the examination in Sivagiri Sree Narayana Senior Secondary School, Varkala, 32 got a CGPA of 10, 34 secured CGPA 9 and above, and 22 students secured 8 and above. In St John's School, Anchal, 45 of the 132 students who sat for the examination won A1 for all subjects; 34 students secured between 9.1 and 9.8; 38 students secured between 8.2 and 9; 13 students secured 7.2 and 8; 2 students secured 6.8 and 7. In Nehru Memorial Model School, 10 of the 14 students who wrote the exam secured a CGPA of 10. The rest had grades above 9. Forty students had appeared for the examination in infant Jesus Central School, Pongummoodu. 12 secured A1 for all subjects. 28 got distinction.
