Kerala University goes online for MBA admissions
Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala University has introduced a new process for admissions to management courses in institutions directly governed by the university. The students need to register only for the admission process and need not send any completed applications to the university. They will be informed about the group discussion and personal interview through SMS and e-mail.
The online admission to MBA programmes at the Institute of Management, Kerala (IMK) Karyavattom, MBA (CSS), MBA (Tourism-CSS) at University Institute of Management, Kollam, Adoor and Alappuzha (MBA-full time) and MBA (evening) at IMK are now going on through the online portal www. admissionskeralauniversity.ac.in.
IMK head K.S. Chandrasekar told Deccan Chronicle that the rank list would be published within three days of the final group discussion and personal interview.
All the students who have a valid Common Admission Test (CAT), Management Aptitude Test (MAT), Kerala Management Admission Test (K-MAT) and Common Management Admission Test (C- MAT) scores are eligible to apply.
IMK is not conducting any entrance examination this time as per the directions of the Justice James committee, Mr Chandrasekhar said. All admissions will be completed and the admission list will be forwarded to the university and Justice James committee by the end of June.
The classes at all these centres will commence by the first week of July. This centralised admission process will give a fillip to other state students also to
opt for Kerala University, Mr Chandrasekhar said.
