Pratyusha Banerjee was found dead at her suburban residence on Friday under mysterious circumstances.

On screen, She played a rebel in the popular TV series. Breaking stereotypes and overcoming odds was the mainstay of her character. However, in real life, problems seem to have taken a toll on Pratyusha Banerjee who committed suicide.

TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee, best known for her portrayal of Anandi in the popular serial Balika Vadhu, was found dead at her suburban residence on Friday under mysterious circumstances. Her co-star Siddharth Shukla confirmed the death. Her body was found hanging from the fan with a dupatta by Pratyusha’s boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh and their cook.

Irom Sharmila
Manipuri human rights activist Irom Sharmila was on Wednesday acquitted by a Delhi court in a 2006 case of attempt to suicide when she was undertaking a fast until death at Jantar Mantar in the national capital. Metropolitan Magistrate Harvinder Singh let off 42-year- old Sharmila, who is on a fast for the last 16 years in Manipur demanding repeal of AFSPA.

Hrithik Roshan
Actor Hrithik Roshan has been sent a notice for one of his tweets where he stated that there were more chances of him “having an affair with the Pope” than the women the media had been linking him with. Alleging that the tweet was “hurtful” to the Catholic community, president of Indian Christian Voice has filed a legal notice against the actor.

P. Susheela
Legendary playback singer P. Susheela entered the Guinness Book of World Records for singing the highest number of solo songs in the world. The veteran has rendered 17,695 solo, duet and chorus songs in six languages.
It was verified on January 28 and she was honored with a Guinness Certificate. Pulapaka Susheela 80, who hails from Andhra Pradesh, debuted in films in 1950.

R. Ganeshan
An Infosys employee from Bengaluru, missing since the deadly bombings in Brussels, was among those killed in the terror attack last week. The Indian Embassy in Brussels and the MEA here confirmed the death of Raghavendran Ganeshan in the March 22 assault on the Belgian capital. He was a victim of the blast that took place in the metro at Maelbeek station.
