TMC: Congress Must Learn From Its Mistakes

Kolkata: West Bengal's ruling Trinamul Congress took a swipe at its I.N.D.I.A. partner, Congress, on Sunday over its defeat in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan Assembly Elections.

TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh alleged that the grand old party needs to own the responsibility of its whitewash in its home turf and learn from its mistakes. He also sought the Congress to quit it's habit of “Zamindari” in the I.N.D.I.A. platform.

Mr Ghosh claimed, “Congress has failed to fight its battle alone. It must learn a lesson from its failure. In the I.N.D.I.A. platform, we are there along with other anti-BJP parties like Congress. In Bengal, TMC defeated BJP single-handedly.”

He added, “If Congress fails to protect its bastions in those states where it is traditionally powerful, I.N.D.I.A. may get affected. Congress ought to shun Zamindari mentality and acknowledge that only TMC, led by Mamata Banerjee, has the guts to defeat BJP. It should pay heed to what TMC says.”

Mr Ghosh also wondered how long Congress would continue to help BJP with the aid of the Left against the TMC in the state.
