Train services swiftly resumed to Palasa and Rayagada after accident

Visakhapatnam: In a swift response to a recent train accident, the Waltair division has successfully resumed train services to Palasa and Rayagada, providing relief to daily commuters, employees, students and travellers. The train services were temporarily disrupted following the unfortunate incident, but operations are back on track.

The Waltair division officially resumed the Visakhapatnam-Rayagada train service on November 1, just a day after the accident, showcasing their commitment to ensure the convenience and safety of passengers. Following this, the Visakhapatnam-Palasa passenger train has also been put back into service on Thursday.

Divisional railway manager Saurabh Prasad took the initiative to expedite the resumption of train services by utilising available rolling stock. This decision aimed to provide a comfortable and hassle-free journey for all those who rely on the railway network for their daily commute and transportation needs.

While the railway services are back on track, the commissioner of railway safety is currently conducting an inquiry into the train accident, which has entered its second day. The investigation is crucial for determining the cause of the accident and ensuring that appropriate safety measures are in place.
