Kakinada Port police serves notices to nine TD leaders

Kakinada: Kakinada police have served notices under section 41 A to nine Telugu Desam leaders on the charges of entering into Kakinada Sea Port premises without permission and creating hurdles in handling of cargo operations on October 6, 2021.

The TD leaders served notices are former home minister and Peddapuram MLA Nimmakayala China Rajappa, TD official spokesperson K. Pattabhi, party Kakinada district president Jyothula Naveen Kumar, former MLAs S.V.S.N. Varma, Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao and Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy, and party leaders Yanamala Krishnudu, Tummala Ramesh and Moka Ananda Sagar.

After receiving the notice, China Rajappa told reporters on Friday that there had been allegations against the port that it received narcotic drugs from other countries. Following this, TD leaders took permission from port operators and only then went into the port. Police had not booked any cases then.

“Kakinada Port police have booked cases only now only to harass us,” the former home minister maintained.

He said 10 to 35 illegal cases have already been booked against TD leaders in various police stations. The case against former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is one such with a vicious intention. They are getting ready to get justice through courts in these cases, China Rajappa stated.

He declared that the state will soon be free from YSRC’s evil rule, as it will be sent packing by people in the forthcoming assembly elections.

TD leaders Mallipudi Veeru, Md. Tajuddin, Tummala Sunitha and Vommi Balaji were among those present.
