HPS student chosen to represent India in UN climate change conference
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, student Pavan Trishu Vijay Kumar, 16, has been selected to represent India in the United Nations Climate Change conference to present the global youth manifesto.
Vijay Kumar has been working with 15 students from other countries on the project. The project is to look at solutions to decarbonise the world and the role of youth in assisting with innovations.
Vijay Kumar said, "Our team has worked on the project of replacing copper with plastic for electricity wires. We are going to present it at the summit."
Under the guidance of his teacher Usha Sudhir and other team members, the students have worked extensively on the project researching and identifying similarities and similarities about climate change.
Vijay Kumar said, "I will be presenting the voice of global youth and their attempts at reducing carbon emissions."
The project had participation from other schools in the country and it was Vijay Kumar who was selected by Unesco, Taking IT Global and Centre for Global Education, to present the case of the students.
