Hyderabad: Citing the recent accident where the rider of a two-wheeler hung his helmet to the back of the motorcycle and rode helmetless sustaining severe head injuries that killed him, Cyberabad traffic police requested riders to wear helmets while riding motorcycles.
Cyberabad Traffic Police advised the public to mandatorily wear a good quality helmet while riding or pillion riding a two-wheeler always on all roads to be safe. The police advised riders to fasten helmet straps, because keeping a helmet on the head will not save the riders from head injuries.
It is also seen that that many are simply putting on half helmets, construction helmets; plastic caps just to avoid penalties. These kind of caps will not help them escape both from penalties and head injuries, the police said.
