Kurnool: A bear was spotted wandering near Mahanandi Devasthanam on Friday night. Alarmed by the unexpected visitors, devotees and visitors raised alarm, following which the temple officials made an announcement and asked people to stay away from risky places.
The incident occurred near TTD Satram and Karivena Satram. This was the second bear sighting, after the one near Ishwar Nagar near Mahanandi last week.
Bear sightings have triggered panic among devotees in the Srisaila Sikharam area. To ensure the safety of visitors, forest officials captured the bear and relocated it to a remote part of the Nallamala forest.
