Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao will unfurl the national flag at the historic Golconda fort on the occasion of Independence Day.
After paying tributes to Veerula Sainik Smarak at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad, he will drive to Golconda fort to unfurl the National Flag.
As part of the Independence Day celebrations, all important buildings such as Raj Bhavan, Secretariat, Assembly buildings, High Court, Charminar, etc in Hyderabad would be illuminated.
Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma held a high-level review meeting with officials of various departments at Secretariat and discussed the arrangements to be made for the Independence Day celebrations in the city and across the State.
He asked officials to take steps to regulate traffic and install sign boards along the stretch of roads leading to the Golconda fort. He also asked them to barricade the venue and arrange adequate water and power supply there.
Artistes of the cultural department would perform at the fort, the Chief Secretary said.
