Hyderabad: Four held with Zarda, gutka sale

The accused were identified as Mohd Javeduddin, 44, K. Ramesh, 43, Mohd. Raheem, 26, and B. Devendar, 35.
According to police, Mohd. Javeduddin, a resident of Moosapet, purchases zarda and gutka products from dealers named Purushotam and Saleem.
Hyderabad: The sleuths of Commissioner Task force, North zone, apprehended four persons who were illegally transporting zarda and gutka of various brands on Monday at old Bowenpally.
The accused were identified as Mohd Javeduddin, 44, K. Ramesh, 43, Mohd. Raheem, 26, and B. Devendar, 35.
P. Radha Krishna Rao said, "We received credible information and we arrested Javeduddin while delivering zarda products to agent Raheem at Old Bowenpally. Zarda products worth `4.5 lakh were seized from them and they were handed over to Bowenpally Police for further investigation.
According to police, Mohd. Javeduddin, a resident of Moosapet, purchases zarda and gutka products from dealers named Purushotam and Saleem. He used to sell and market the purchased products to various places in the city. He engaged with K. Ramesh and B. Devendar for transporting the products.
