Kochi schools, students shine in CBSE Class 12 exams

The schools scored well not only in results but also in the number of students who bagged A1 in all subjects.

Kochi: Most of the schools in Kochi recorded 100 per cent pass as the CBSE Class X11 exam resulted were announced on Thursday.

Nimmy Ved of the Choice School, Thrippunithura, bagged the CBSE second rank in Humanities in the persons with disabilities category (97 per cent). Out of the 177 students appeared for the examination from the school in the year 2018-19, 159 secured distinction, 18 first class and 21 A1 in all subjects.

All the seven Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan schools in the district, too, produced excellent results. Out of the total 915 students who sat for the exam, as many as 731 got distinction, 182 first class and 72 A1 in all subjects.

While Darshana R. of the Bhavans Adarsha Vidyalaya, Kakkanad, scored 98.8 per cent in humanities, Nandhita N. Menon of Bhavan’s Vidhya Mandir, Girinagar, and Anagha P. of Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Eroor, bagged 97.4 per cent in Commerce. Reshma George of Bhavan’s Eroor secured the top rank among the Bhavans schools by scoring 97.4 per cent in science stream.

The Rajagiri Christu Jayanthi Public School, Kakkanad, was another school with cent per cent results. Out of the total 206 students who sat for the exam, 43 secured full A1, 196 distinction and 10 first class. Athul Sanjose became the science stream topper with 98.6 per cent marks.

Out of the total 156 students of the Rajagiri Public School, Kalamassery, 32 secured A1 in all subjects while 10 students secured centum in at least one subject.

A total of 87 students from the Global Public School, Thiruvaniyoor, appeared for the exams, out of which 67 secured distinction and 10 A1 in all subjects.

Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala, secured cent per cent pass per centage with 112 out of 126 students securing distinctions. T. Megha with 98.4 per cent emerged topper in the Science stream.

SBOA Public Senior Secondary School, Chitoor, has 47 distinctions out of the total 101 students who appeared for the examinations with four bagging A1 in all subjects.

Out of the total 263 students of the Saraswathy Vidyaniketan, Elamakkara, who sat for the exams, 32 scored A1 in all subjects while 95 got distinctions.

51 of the total 95 students of Campion school bagged distinctions while 119 of the total 141 students of Assisi VPS, Kakknad, got disntinctions. Out of the total 69 students of the Greets Public School, 38 secured distinctions.
