The family was waiting at the Alipiri link bus stand to board a bus to Tirumala when an unidentified man lured and abducted the boy

TIRUPATI: Tirupati police have achieved a breakthrough in kidnap of a six-year-old boy from Alipiri link bus stand on February 27 by releasing the suspect abductor’s photo.

Alipiri circle inspector Devendra Kumar said the kid Sivam Kumar Sahoo, along with his parents hailing from Chhattisgarh, had arrived at Tirupati on February 27. The family was waiting on the platform of the Alipiri link bus stand to board a bus to Tirumala, when an unidentified person lured and abducted the boy.

After noticing that their son was missing, his family members searched in vain for him all around the bus stand. They then lodged a complaint with the Alipiri police station. Tirupati Urban Superintendent of police constituted special teams for tracing Sivam and his abductor.

CCTV footage retrieved by police showed the abductor sitting close to the family observing movements of the boy. When Sivam moved away from the sight of his parents, the abductor lured and took him away, inspector Devendra stated.

Releasing photos of the boy and his abductor, the inspector appealed to public that they contact 9440796752, or WhatsApp 8099999977, or police control room number 6309913960 if they notice the boy or the abductor in their surroundings. Police also announced a reward for those providing information.
