Hyderabad: A Class IV student was injured on his head when the principal of his school allegedly hit him with a blunt object. Sahil Agarwal, 9, was rushed to hospital. The incident occurred during lunch break at Vijaya Gopal Talent School.
Sahil’s grandfather Vishal Kumar Agrawal approached the state commission for the protection of child rights and lodged a complaint against principal Arjun Yadav. “The boy made some noise. The principal got angry and hit him with a wooden object. The child was injured,” said a commission official. The commission ordered the Hyderabad educational officer and the Panjagutta assistant commissioner of police to submit a report by March 15.
