Not getting enough rice, Adilabad Adivasis complain to Jogu Ramanna
ADILABAD: Villagers of Dharloddi in Adilabad rural mandal on Friday told the minister for forest Jogu Ramanna that ration shop dealers were cutting in six kg rice and indulging irregularities. The villagers said the rice being supplied was not sufficient for them.
Minister asked the officials concerned to take stern action on the ration dealers who were indulging in irregularities. The minister enquired with the Adivasis whether they were getting benefits of the government schemes.
Mr Jogu Ramanna interacted with the villagers of Khandala and enquired about the problems they were facing.
He inspected the Mission Bhagiratha water tank at Khandala and asked the forest officials to propose a reservoir.
The minister visited cotton fields in Khandala Adivasigudem and thanda. He also visited the Khandala ghat and discussed about the measures to be taken to develop the ghat as a tourist spot.
Adilabad market committee chairman Aare Rajanna and grandhalaya chairman Manohar were present.
