Korean students take part in Happy Moving' in Rapthadu

As part of the first phase, the students would be involved in service activities till February 8.

ANANTAPUR: About 86 Korean students have been participating in 'Happy Moving' programme in Rapthadu mandal organised by Better World Organisation and FSL India. The KIA Motors India was sponsoring the 10-day-long programme where 16 members of NSS volunteers from JNTUA were assisting the 86 Korean students in Happy Moving programme.

KIA Motors India was establishing the biggest cars manufacturing unit near Erramanchi in Penukonda mandal on NH 44 Road in the district. The motor manufacturers took up activities under corporate responsibility scheme in the district.

As part of the activities, the team of Korean students were being involved in activities to promote developmental and raise awareness among the people of Rapthadu mandal. The students took up construction of toilets at ZP High School and MPP school of Rapthadu mandal headquarters. The students also were involved in renovation activities of compound walls, toilets, bath rooms and other needs in the schools.

Anantapur JNTU Engineering College Principal Dr K. Prahlada Rao said the NSS volunteers from the college were assisting the Korean students. As part of the first phase, the students would be involved in service activities till February 8.
