V-Guard Industries Ltd to donate 40 ambulances

Mr. Mithun K Chittilapilly, managing director of V-Guard and son of Kochouseph Chittilappilly, was also present on the occasion.

KOCHI: V-Guard Industries Ltd, built by industrialist-philanthropist Kochouseph Chittilapilly from a capital of Rs 1 lakh, has become a Rs 2,000-crore conglomerate today, declared on Thursday that he would donate 40 ambulances to NGOs and charity hospitals across India to coincide with the company’s 40th anniversary. The company has decided to donate at least one ambulance per state, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative and the first ambulance was donated on Thursday to Attapady Palliative Care Society at a function held at the company corporate office in Kochi.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Kochouseph Chittilapilly said “It’s been an exhilarating journey for all of us towards achieving what we have created till date. In future as well, we will continue to focus and drive excellence and also contribute to society.” Mr. Mithun K Chittilapilly, managing director of V-Guard and son of Kochouseph Chittilappilly, was also present on the occasion.
