Visakhapatnam mayor urges swift completion of Purna Market road expansion
Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam mayor Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari has stressed the urgent need to expedite the expansion works of Purna Market road, emphasising the approaching festive season of Dhanurmasam, Sankranti, and Christmas.
During a surprise inspection of the ongoing road widening project from Jagadamba Junction to Old Post Office on Saturday, the mayor directed the authorities to prioritise the completion of the works to minimise inconvenience to the public and businesses.
Acknowledging the challenges faced by traders and residents due to the construction activities, the mayor appealed for their cooperation, assuring them of a timely completion.
Accompanied by local corporator Koduru Appala Ratnam, town planning officer Suresh, zonal commissioner Sivaprasad, supervising engineer Satyanarayana Raju, ACP Vinayaprasad, executive engineer Santoshi, deputy executive engineer Satyanarayana, and other engineering officers, the mayor reviewed the progress of the project.
