Hyderabad: The Congress will take up the issue of discrepancies and multiple entries in electoral rolls with the Election Commission when its team led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar will begin its three-day visit to the state on Tuesday. On Day 1, the EC will meet with leaders of national and state-recognised political parties.
A delegation of Congress representatives comprising MP N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, MLA D. Sridhar Babu and senior leader G. Niranjan will meet the EC team and submit a representation on various issues with regard to the electoral rolls and elections.
The Congress leaders are alleging massive deletions and duplications in the voters' list and demanding rectification before the final electoral draft rolls are published.
