Hyderabad: Two brothers arrested with 21.5 kg ganja
Hyderabad: The sleuths from the commissioner’s west zone task force nabbed two brothers possessing ganja at Mangalhat, Hyderabad on Sunday and seized 21.5 Kg ganja from them. The accused were identified as S. Naresh 25, and S. Karthik, 22.
According to the police their family migrated from Visakhapatnam to Bibinagar 30 years ago. S. Naresh was living at his father-in-law’s house in Visakhapatnam. His brother S. Karthik completed his engineering and working in a private company in Visakhapatnam. Naresh was introduced to Benny Swamy, who was a ganja dealer in Visakhapatnam, through his friend Bala. Naresh used to buy ganja at low rates from Bala and sell it in Hyderabad for higher price and give a commission of Rs 5,000 to the latter.
P. Radha Krishan, deputy commissioner of police said, “About one month back the accused Naresh purchased 5 kg ganja (Rs 2,000 per 1 Kg) from Benna Swamy and came to Mangalhat area and sold it to customers for Rs 5,000 per Kg.”
On Sunday Naresh and his brother came to the back of Prakash Theatre, Seetharampet, Mangalghat, Hyderabad on a bike with 21.5 Kg ganja and tried selling the same. In the meantime, the task force apprehended them, added the official. The task force seized ganja, a Pulsar and a mobile and handed them to Mangalhat police.
