Hyderabad: The Hayathnagar police was alerted about a four-day-old decomposed body on Sunday by locals in Kunthur.
According to inspector of Hayathnagar police station K. Sathish, the body is of a man, aged between 30 to 35 years. “We do not have the name of the deceased but we are trying to get it. We have sent the body to Osmania mortuary for preservation and postmortem. It looks like the victim committed suicide four days ago. His body was found in an open room in an isolated field by the locals of Hayathnagar,” said the official.
The room is located near Tulja Bhavani wine shop on the Kunthur road. On Sunday, some kids were playing in the field when their ball went near the room. The children smelled something foul and called elders, who in turn alerted the police.
A case has been registered at the Hayathnagar police station under Section 174 of CrPC (suspicious death) and the body has been sent to Osmania hospital for postmortem and preservation.
