Hyderabad: The Rein Bazaar police arrested a man, Khaja Nizamuddin alias Habeeb Hasan Al Aidrooz, 55, a resident of Barkas Salala for allegedly harassing a woman over social media and spreading rumours against her.
According to the police, a woman complained that Nizamuddin was harassing and defaming her on social media.
She further said that he had sent messages through WhatsApp to her husband claiming to be in a relationship with her.
Following the messages, some differences had cropped up between the couple.
The woman informed the police about it, who in turn spoke to her husband about the matter. They later asked her to file a complaint against the man.
Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against Habeeb Hasan Al Aidrooz and arrested him.
