Telangana: Met department says heat wave will prevail
Hyderabad: The Indian Meteorological Department on Sunday did a U-turn on the decision of lifting heat wave warning over Telangana state which it took just a day before on Saturday. On Sunday, IMD reported that heat wave conditions are “very likely” to prevail at a few parts in the districts of Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahbubnagar, Medak, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Nalgonda, Warangal and Nizamabad till Monday.
The maximum temperatures hovered between 42ºC-44ºC in most parts of TS on Sunday with the lowest maximum of 40 degree Celsius recorded at Hakimpet.
Thanks to rain on Saturday night, the minimum temperature was one degree less than normal at 25ºC in Hyderabad. On Sunday, too, many places in Hyderabad and Cyberabad areas experienced slight rainfall accompanied with winds making the night pleasant.
