Hyderabad: Easter procession obstructed
Hyderabad: A group of young persons obstructed an Easter Procession at Dayarnagar under Kukatpally Police station on Sunday morning. The youngsters claiming to be members of a religious organisation, suddenly intercepted the procession and misbehaved with the members in the procession.
The members claimed that they had permission from ACP Kukatpally to conduct the procession, but despite it, the miscreants misbehaved with women, beat them and forced them to apply sindoor on their foreheads. Madhapur DCP Vishwaprasad said a case under sections 341,509 and 323 of IPC was registered against Kumar Vinay and around eight others. The case is under investigation.
According to church members, a group of around 30 members were walking at a rally in the streets of Dayarnagar located behind Metro mart in Kukatpally. While they were walking, Kumar Vinay intercepted them and abusing them.
