Hyderabad: Inter exams hit traffic

To monitor the traffic flow during the exams, traffic officials conducted a wireless conference to observe each and every junction in city.

Hyderabad: Traffic congestion was widespread in notorious locations across the city such as Kukatpally, Mehdipatnam, Himayathnagar, Jubilee Hills, Kukatpally, Dilsukhnagar, Nalakunta and Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar due to the ongoing Inter-mediate examinations.

Cops have however, denied that there were traffic jams all through Wednesday.
Commuters were requested by officials to take alternate routes when slow movement of traffic was seen at Mehdipatnam (towards Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital), NMDC, the Masab Tank area, Rythu Bazar, Mehdipatnam, Retibowli, Himayathnagar towards Narayanguda, Crown Cafe, A.Y. Mandali and towards Fever Hospital.

Officials said that additional personnel from the city traffic department had been deployed at various junctions of the city and said they would maintain positions until the exams were over.

Traffic police were on Wednesday even holding up banners at various locations wishing the students good luck for the exams. Traffic police South zone and North Zone said, “There were no major traffic jams on Wednesday as we are monitoring traffic wirelessly. Areas such as Nalakunta and Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar witnessed some traffic congestion during peak hours but it was cleared immediately.”
