HYDERABAD: A clash between school children led to the death of a Class IX student in Minorities' Residential School in Madhavanagar on Thursday. Fifteen-year-old Sophian died while he was being shifted to Government General Hospital in Nizamabad after sustaining serious injuries.
According to police, another student attacked Sophian in the school. The victim fell unconscious and the school staff shifted him to the hospital.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Nizamabad assistant commissioner of police Are Venkateshwarlu said that a case of IPC 304 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) has been registered against the minor boy, who attacked the victim. "We also registered a case against the management of the school,” he said.
