Karimnagar: The 25-year-old injured constable working with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), hailing from Jaggaraopalli village of Boinapally mandal in Rajanna Sircilla district, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a hospital on Monday. Chada Shiva Kumar suffered severe head injury after he accidentally fell off a rock while discharging duty in the office surroundings at the 16th Deoli Battalion in Rajasthan on December 16.
He was the younger son of Bhagyamma and Gopal Reddy and has a brother and sister.
Shiva joined the Force as a constable two years ago and was posted at the 16th Deoli Battalion. His elder brother Ganga Reddy is also working as a CISF constable at Sircilla town.
He was discharging his duty along with his colleagues at the Battalion when he slipped and fell from a rock. His colleagues rushed him to the government hospital in Jaipur. As he received a severe injury on his head, Shiva slipped into coma and had been undergoing treatment and died on Monday at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the family members alleged that Shiva would have got the post in his native Rajanna Sircilla district if the postings had not been stalled in the state. Due to a court case on the constable results, the previous BRS government had halted constable recruitment in the state.
