HYDERABAD: Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy of Telangana High Court on Monday dismissed as not maintainable a writ plea by one Sneha Shamarthi, who alleged that the ACP of Mahankali police station, in collusion with HPCL officials, had illegally dispossessed her from the fuel outlet at Secunderabad.
The petitioner contended that several anti-social elements had done it in connivance with police officials. After watching the CCTV footage pertaining to the incident, the judge opined that there was nothing suspicious. The petitioner said that the license agreement period had expired but her valuables were still in the premises. The judge dismissed the case but permitted her to seek an alternative remedy before an arbitrator.
HC rejects plea of church trust against police
A division bench of the Telangana High Court, consisting of Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan and N. Tukaramji, dismissed a writ appeal filed by Raagi Veerachary on managing indigenous churches in their premises at Musheerabad. He had sought a declaration that interference of the station house officers of Chikkadpally and Musheerabad in the functioning of the indigenous churches in India Trust defying orders from the lower court as illegal.
A single judge refused to issue any orders and said that it was not for the police to interfere with civil disputes between various groups claiming possession or ownership of the management of the church. The bench observed that there was no wrong finding in the order of the single judge and dismissed the appeal.
