Hyderabad: Two engineering students from Banjara Hills who came to a farm house in Jukal village were apprehended by Shamshabad Police after they threatened two local youth with a toy pistol. The students who were boozing on the road picked up an argument with two bikers which lead to a quarrel.

According to sources, Saketh 19 and Mahesh 19 along with three other friends, all from Banjara Hills area, came to Jukal village in Shamshabad mandal to celebrate New Year at a site in Jukal village owned by Saketh’s father Haribabu.

They parked their car on the road. Meanwhile, two village youth, Mahipal Reddy and Sagar, who were heavily drunk after a new year party, were passing the farmhouse but could not go ahead with Saketh’s car blocking the road. They asked the students to move the car when an argument broke out. Sakesh pulled out a toy pistol and threatened the youth.

The youth alerted other villagers who rushed to the spot and caught Saketh and Mahesh. Three others sped away in the car. The boys were handed over to Police. “Neither of the parties were willing to lodge a complaint, so we counselled them and seized the toy pistol and let them off.” Shamshabad SI Md Khaleel Pasha said. A GD entry was made at the Police station. However, Mahipal Reddy and Sagar who were driving under the influence of alcohol were not booked for drunk driving and let off after counselling.
