Textile park, engineering and Agri Colleges to come up in Adilabad, says MLA Jogu

Adilabad: Adilabad BRS MLA Jogu Ramanna on Sunday said that engineering and agriculture colleges would be set up in Adilabad for the benefit of the students of the area.

He said there was a need to establish a textile park in Adilabad to create employment as the cotton ginning and pressing industry was facing difficulties in the district.

Addressing a workshop on ‘CII-Telangana Road Show’, Ramanna said IT Minister K.T. Rama rao was encouraging setting up IT companies and startups in Tier-II cities like Adilabad and a few companies were setting up their branches in Adilabad town to create employment to local youths.

Stressing the need for industrialisation to increase the manufacturing of various products to meet public needs, collector Rahul Raj said efforts would be made to encourage youth to avail the resources in the poultry and agriculture sector available locally.

CII Telangana Chapter chairman Shekhar Reddy, IT co-convenor Ramakrishna and member Sayuddin, BDNT managing director Sanjeev Deshpande, DCCB chairman Addi Bhojaraeddy and others were present.
