Kakinada: The Kakinada district police have recovered 275 stolen cellphones worth Rs. 55 lakh using the MobiTrack system.

Kakinada district superintendent of police S. Satish Kumar told reporters on Saturday that the police have recovered a total of 845 stolen cellphones since the introduction of MobiTrack.

He said that people who have lost their cellphones can call or WhatsApp the number 9490617852 or visit the CEIR website to upload their details.

Kumar also said that cellphone thefts have increased in the past two years, but the MobiTrack system has helped the police to trace and arrest the thieves quickly.
