HYDERABAD: The Jubilee Hills police registered a case against BJP leader Keerthi Reddy Juturu from Jubilee Hills, on the allegations of posting defamatory content against BRS MLA M. Gopinath on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
On Wednesday, Keerthi Reddy posted on X alleging that the MLA was focusing more on attacking people and intimidating them, rather than on development. Madhav Bhaskar, a BRS worker from Yousufguda lodged a complaint, alleging that her comments were provocative and were false.
Claiming that such comments might create tensions among the public, Bhaskar sought strict action against Keerthi Reddy. Following the complaint, police registered a case and started an investigation. Police said they are verifying the posts on X and accordingly the investigation will proceed.
