Bharath Dharma Jana Sena not to switch front

Rejects SNDP leader Vellappally's call to join LDF.

Alappuzha: Bharath Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) chairman Thushar Vellapally rejected his father and SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellapally Natesan’s demand to quit the Nation Democratic Alliance (NDA). After the state meet of the NDA held here on Thursday, Thushar said the BDJS did not talk about quitting the NDA. “Natesan is not a spokesperson of the party and his opinion was personal,” he told reporters. Mr Vellapally Natesan earlier on Thursday demanded that BDJS leaders part ways with the NDA. “BJP has become like a private company and factional wars and corruption dog it. The LDF is suitable for BDJS and the CPM should take initiatives to accommodate BDJS in the front. If the BDJS asks, I am ready to talk with CPM leaders,” Natesan said.

Mr Vellapally unleashed criticism against the BJP and its state leaders after the party refused to allot the posts of company and corporation chairman to the BDJS. BJP offered the posts after BDJS joined hands with the NDA before the panchayat elections. However, they did not allot the posts and Vellapally believes that the state leadership of the BJP was preventing it. It’s not first time that Vellapally has severely criticized BJP state leaders publicly especially after the medical college corruption allegations surfaced.
