UoH workshop on NE tribal communities

Hyderabad: The Centre of the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy of the University of Hyderabad's School of Social Sciences said it would be organising a two-day national workshop, in hyrbid mode, on 'Liangmai Nagas and Cognate Tribes in North East India: Origin, Identity Formation, Issues and Challenges.' The event would begin on Tuesday at the conference hall of the School of Social Sciences.

Prof. B.J. Rao, UoH Vice Chancellor, would be special guest of honour and Prof Anand Kumar from the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi, the chief guest. The keynote speakers would be Prof. Virginius Xaxa of the Institute for Human Development, Delhi; Prof. Gopal Guru of JNU, Delhi, Prof. Ajailiu Niumai of the UoH. Several other professors from the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC) Bengaluru, National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), Shillong, Manipur University and ITM University of Gwalior will speak at the event.
