Bandi demands action in alleged cow slaughter case

HYDERABAD: State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday demanded the immediate arrest of those involved in the alleged butchering of a cow in Dharmapuri in Karimnagar district on Thursday. In a statement, Sanjay alleged that “a local municipal councillor was responsible for this act. Though a complaint was lodged with the police, no action was taken and instead, those who complained and were agitating against the killing of the cow were arrested.”

He said the inaction against those responsible for killing a cow in public “reflects on how the KCR government watches helplessly. KCR claims he is a Hindu and if that is the case why is he not taking any action?”

Sanjay demanded the immediate release of all those arrested by the police for protesting against the incident and that the non-bailable cases filed against them be withdrawn.
