9 Covid-19 victims discharged in Vizianagaram
After successful treatment, nine Covid-19 affected persons were discharged from MIMS Hospital, the designated nodal hospital for coronavirus cases, in Vizianagaram district on Monday.
On the occasion, district collector Dr M Hari Jawahar Lal along with doctors and the hospital staff bid farewell to them. The collector handed over Rs 2,000 cash, dry fruits and medicines to each discharged person.
The discharged patients were from Chakalivalasa in Makkuva mandal, Ramaduvalasa in Bobbili mandal, Kolluru in Garividi mandal, Dwarabandam in Salur mandal, Bandaluppi and Garugubilli in Parvatipuram mandal, Ramavaram in Sitanagaram mandala and Kothavalasa. They were sent to their homes in 108 ambulance vehicles.
The collector lauded the discharged persons for conquering the disease and extending co-operation during treatment. He urged all of them to remain careful for the next 14 days.
Speaking to the doctors, nurses and staff of MIMS Hospital, he appreciated their services. He said that all those who recovered from the disease and discharged from the hospital would remember the doctors and staff for the rest of their lives.
