RMPI Onchiyam office attacked
KOZHIKODE: RMPI’s Onchiyam local committee office came under attack on Sunday. The assailants destroyed a TV, furniture and flex boards kept there, in what was the last one among a series of attacks against the party’s offices in Vadakara and Nadapuram areas ahead of the Onchiyam martyrs’ day and TP Chandrasekharan martyr’s day.
RMPI leaders alleged that the CPM workers destroyed the flex boards fixed on roadsides leading to the venue of the martyr’s day on Sunday, where chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan was attending. State secretary N. Venu said that the CPM should end their attacks on party offices. The local committee office at Chorod was under attack twice. However, the police made no arrests. The CPM had dismissed the allegations saying that the RMPI was provoking and creating publicity ahead of the TP martyr’s day.
