One-way plan, new traffic pattern in Thiruvananthapuram from today

The vehicles coming from Jagathy will not be allowed to turn right to reach Melaranoor side.

Thiruvananthapuram: After massive traffic jams, the police will try one way systems and a new traffic pattern between Karamana , Poojapura and Jagathy during peak hours from Wednesday. The arrangements will be enforced from 8.30am to 11am and from 3.30pm to 6.40pm. The vehicles coming from Jagathy will not be allowed to turn right to reach Melaranoor side. The vehicles have to go all the way to Poojapura junction, return and take a free left to Melaranoor.

Small vehicles coming from Karamana to Jagathy should come via Melaranoor NGO quarters. These vehicles should first reach Melaranoor junction and continue to Ananthapuri auditorium through the side road here. The road from Melaranoor to Ananthapuri auditorium and the road road from Melaranoor to Jagathy will be one ways. Vehicles will not be allowed to go from Poojapura to Melaranoor junction or Jagathy Bridge.

Similarly, vehicles going from Melaranoor junction to Poojapura and Karamana should proceed via NGO quarters Kunchalumoodu. Heavy vehicles coming from Karamana CIT Road and Karamana Masjid road should proceed to Poojapura side via Kunjalumoodu.

U turn for Mudavanmugal- Pangode
The Poojapura mandapom road will be a one way for vehicles coming from Jagathy. Also, vehicles coming from Mudavanmugal to Pangode should not take right but proceed to Poojapura roundabout and take a U turn back to Pangode.
