Hyderabad: The Hyderabad district election authorities on Wednesday released the handout of the chief electoral officer (CEO) Telangana, while urging voters to check their names in the electoral rolls. They were advised to enroll their names if they were missing in the electoral rolls and make corrections if the details mentioned were incorrect. These can be made online at https://voters.eci.gov.in/.
Booth level officers (BLOs) will be stationed at the polling stations on January 20 and 21 where physical applications will be accepted.
The voters were advised to delete their names if found enrolled in more than one location by using ‘form-7’ voter application form issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The CEO cautioned that under Section 31 of (Representation of the People Act (1950- 43 of 1950), having a vote in more than one location is punishable with imprisonment.
