Holkar Royal Palace To Host Next Cabinet Meet Of Madhya Pradesh Govt
The Madhya Pradesh government is holding year-long- celebration in 2025 coinciding with the 300th birth anniversary of Ahalya Bai.

BHOPAL: The royal palace of the famed erstwhile ruling Holkar dynasty at Rajwada in Indore in Madhya Pradesh is set to host the next meeting of the Mohan Yadav cabinet on Tuesday.
Famously named as Rajwada palace, the architectural marvel will be the third historical site in Madhya Pradesh to host the state cabinet meeting after chief minister Mohan Yadav assumed office in December 2023.
The scheduled cabinet meeting in Rajwada palace incidentally coincides with the marriage anniversary of the Holkar dynasty queen Ahalya Bai and birth anniversary of her father-in-law Malhar Rao Holkar.
Malhar Rao Holkar started construction of the palace which was completed by Ahalya Bai.
“The scheduled cabinet meeting will be a fitting tribute to the erstwhile Holkar dynasty queen Ahalya Bai who was known for devotedly working for the cause of Sanatan Dharma, providing good governance, and women empowerment”, Mr. Yadav said.
Mr. Yadav is scheduled to arrive in Rajwada on Monday evening to oversee arrangements for the cabinet meeting.
A drama highlighting the life of Ahalya Bai will be staged in Rajwada on Monday evening on the occasion.
Earlier on two occasions, cabinet meetings were at the historical sites of Singrampur, the erstwhile capital of Rani Durgavati, in Damoh district in Madhya Pradesh and Maheshwar, the erstwhile capital of Ahalya Bai in Khargone district in the state.
