HackPrix Season 3 at Lords Institute Brings Together 550+ Innovators from 25 States and International Teams

Organisers said the hackathon received over 3,500 applications from India and abroad. Following a rigorous screening process, more than 900 participants were shortlisted, leading to the final selection of over 550 hackers who competed for a prize pool of ₹3 lakh.

Hyderabad: HackPrix Season 3, the flagship international-level hackathon hosted by Lords Institute of Engineering and Technology (LIET), concluded on Sunday after an intense 36-hour coding marathon that brought together more than 550 student innovators representing over 150 teams from 25 Indian states and several international participants.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from aspiring technologists competing across six emerging technology domains including Generative AI & Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Blockchain & Web3, IoT & Embedded Systems, Sustainable Development, and Open Innovation.

Organisers said the hackathon received over 3,500 applications from India and abroad. Following a rigorous screening process, more than 900 participants were shortlisted, leading to the final selection of over 550 hackers who competed for a prize pool of ₹3 lakh.

While project evaluations have been completed, the final results are currently under process. Organisers stated that all shortlisted submissions will undergo a comprehensive community review and cheat-check process to ensure transparency, originality, and fairness. The final results are expected to be announced within a week.

The closing ceremony was attended by prominent academic and industry leaders including Mr Najeed Khan, Founder of Stealth AI and Founder of Agent V OS; Dr R K Singh, Principal, LIET; Mr Syed Basha Mohinuddin, Chairman, LIET; Dr Rizwana Begum, Secretary, LIET; Mr Syed Touseef Ahmed, Vice Chairman, LIET; and Mr Syed Tanveer Ahmed, Joint Secretary, LIET.

Dr Ch Santhan Kumar, Dean IQAC and Convenor of HackPrix, said the third edition of the hackathon demonstrated the growing innovation potential among young engineers.

"HackPrix has evolved into a platform where students move beyond classroom learning and solve real-world problems through technology. The quality of solutions presented this year reflects the remarkable talent emerging from engineering institutions across the country and beyond. The review process will ensure that the most deserving and impactful innovations are recognised," he said.

Mr Najeed Khan, Chief Guest and Founder of Stealth AI and Agent V OS, praised the participants for embracing emerging technologies and entrepreneurial thinking.

"The future belongs to builders who can combine artificial intelligence with practical problem-solving. What I witnessed at HackPrix was not just coding talent but the mindset of future founders and technology leaders. Platforms like this are creating the next generation of innovators for India and the world," he said.

Dr R K Singh, Principal of LIET, said the institution remains committed to creating opportunities that bridge academia and industry.

"HackPrix represents our vision of experiential learning and industry engagement. The enthusiasm displayed by students over the past 36 hours demonstrates how innovation thrives when young minds are given the right environment, mentorship, and challenges," he noted.

Mr Syed Basha Mohinuddin, Chairman, LIET, described the event as a reflection of the institution's commitment to fostering innovation and leadership among youth.

Dr Rizwana Begum, Secretary, LIET, highlighted the importance of nurturing creativity and entrepreneurship among students.

"Innovation flourishes when institutions encourage experimentation and problem-solving. HackPrix has become a platform where students can transform ideas into impactful solutions that address societal and industrial challenges," she said.

Mr Syed Touseef Ahmed, Vice Chairman, LIET, said the overwhelming response from participants across India and abroad underscores the event's growing stature in the global innovation ecosystem.

"The participation from across India and beyond reflects the credibility and reach that HackPrix has achieved. We look forward to seeing many of these projects develop into meaningful ventures and technologies," he remarked.

Mr Syed Tanveer Ahmed, Joint Secretary, LIET, noted that collaboration between academia and industry remains central to the success of such initiatives.

"By bringing together students, mentors, industry experts, and technology partners, HackPrix creates a vibrant ecosystem where learning, innovation, and professional growth happen simultaneously," he said.

Supported by technology partners including Google Gemini, Sarvam AI, MongoDB, ElevenLabs, and Vultr, HackPrix Season 3 provided participants with access to advanced tools and real-world industry challenges. The event was also supported by Major League Hacking (MLH), Devfolio, and several academic and industry collaborators.

As the evaluation process enters its final stage, participants now await the announcement of winners, expected within the coming week following the completion of the community review and verification process.
