Bhopal: A weird reel content requiring his girlfriend to plant 3,400 bumper-to-bumper kisses on his white Maruti Suzuki Swift has proved costly for a man in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh by way of paying a traffic fine (challan) of Rs. 5,500.
Aditya Sikarwar had his car completely covered in roughly 3,400 lipstick kiss marks by his female friend to mimic a viral foreign trend.
The Instagram content creator wanted to make it ‘something new this time’ to gain a large number of views on social media in a short time and came up with the reel theme, ‘thousand kiss marks all over his car’, borrowed from a viral foreign trend.
The idea was in fact shared by his girlfriend, according to the traffic police who tracked his car after a two-day-search in Gwalior city.
Deep red lipsticks worth Rs 900 were bought by him and it took around three and half hours for his girlfriend to plant bumper-to-bumper kisses in the car.
The viral video showed his girlfriend kissing all over the car, laboriously.
Aditya made several rounds of Gwalior city in his car while being video-graphed and made the video viral on Instagram.
The video attracted more than 55 lakh views in just 24 hours, bringing him into social media limelight.
His car, bearing the registration number, MP 07 CC 9452, too has gained the fame as ‘car with thousand kisses’ in Gwalior city.
“The traffic police learnt about the car from social media and started searching for it. The car was tracked in the city after a two-day search”, traffic police station in-charge Abhishek Raghuvanshi said.
Aditya’s Instagram account has over 3,000 followers.
He along with his car was brought to the traffic police station where he was made to pay a fine of Rs 5,500 for violating various traffic rules.
Along with the fine, the police made him scrub and wash every single lipstick mark off the car at the police station.
He was booked under Sections 114 (2)/ 177 (illegally modifying the car body), 100 (2) /177 (excessive tainting on vehicle windows) and 181 (driving vehicle without a valid license) of the Motor Vehicle Act, for which a challan of Rs. 5,500 was issued.
Kissing marks all over the car body are construed as modification of the vehicle body without permission, which violates traffic rules, police said.
Aditya had earlier deactivated his Instagram account after learning that the police had taken note of the video.
He later regretted his action and pledged that he will not repeat it in future.
