An intense encounter between security forces and terrorists continued overnight in the OP Akhal area of Kulgam district. Intermittent exchange of fire was reported throughout the night as alert troops responded with calibrated precision, maintaining a tight cordon around the area.
According to official sources, one terrorist has been neutralised so far during the operation. Security forces have maintained continuous contact, tightening the noose to prevent any escape.
The operation remains ongoing, with additional reinforcements deployed and combing efforts underway to ensure the area is fully secured.
